Somewhere Over The Rainbow

Good Morning, Marzullo Here: Finally feeling like Spring after we shot straight to summer with 5 record setting days in a row last week in the low to mid-80's. While it felt great it was a tad muggy to soon, I love the cool mornings and mild afternoons of Spring and that is exactly what we have in store this week. It comes with a price though, while this picture of the rainbow looks peaceful after the storm passed we did have some damage on Friday night. First off I think this picture of a rainbow Friday evening is about as perfect you can get, it was taken from Hyde Park looking over Mt. Lookout. I wonder if there is a pot of gold at the end of it? However not all of the Tri-State was as peaceful as this shot, we had a few weak Tornado touchdowns this weekend, with minor damage. The National Weather Service confirms a EF-0 tornado both in Harlan Twp. in Warren County and Clarksville, in Clinton County. The wind speeds were around 70 mph and the storm stayed on the ground for about 50 yards. Minor damage of a pole barn and some broken windows along 2nd street in Clarksville, but no injuries. The bottom line is that while warm weather this time of year is awesome it does come with a price with a increase risk of severe weather every time some cooler air trys to work in.
